Reliance Jio Recharge Plans will be 20% expensive from December 1

Reliance Jio has just announced an increase in its prepaid recharge plan, which will be effective from 1 December 2021. With this increase in prepaid tariff rates, there will be an increase of up to 20% in Jio prepaid recharge plans. This decision to increase tariff rates has been implemented after both Airtel and Vi (Vodafone Idea) announced an increase in their prepaid tariff rates.

According to a press release by the company, the increase in tariff rates is due to its ‘commitment to further strengthen a sustainable telecom industry’. These plans will provide the best value in the industry. In keeping with Jio’s promise of providing the best quality service at the lowest cost globally, Jio customers will continue to be the biggest beneficiary.

Reliance Jio prepaid plans will be expensive from 1 December 2021

  • The Rs 75 JioPhone plan will cost Rs 91.
  • The plan of Rs 129 will be increased to Rs 155,
  • Rs 149 plan will cost Rs 179,
  • Rs 199 plan will cost Rs 239,
  • Rs 249 plan will cost Rs 299.
  • Rs 399 plan costs Rs 479,
  • Rs 444 plan costs Rs 533,
  • Rs 329 plan costs Rs 395,
  • Rs 555 plan costs Rs 666,
  • Rs 599 plan costs Rs 719,
  • Rs 1,299 plan costs Rs. The price will be Rs 1,559.
  • Lastly, the Rs 2,399 plan will cost Rs 2,879.

Jio is also increasing the tariff for its data top-up plan. The 6GB data top-up pack of Rs 51 will now cost Rs 61, the 12GB data top-up pack of Rs 101 will cost Rs 121 and the 50GB data top-up pack of Rs 251 will cost Rs 301. Customers can choose all these revised plans from all the existing channels.

Jio is also increasing the tariff for its data top-up plan. The 6GB data top-up pack of Rs 51 will now cost Rs 61, the 12GB data top-up pack of Rs 101 will cost Rs 121 and the 50GB data top-up pack of Rs 251 will cost Rs 301.

Note, Jio has introduced the price hike only for its existing plans and the benefits will remain the same. All these new prepaid plans will come into effect from December 1, 2021, which means you can continue to recharge your Jio connection at the old rates and you will not get any additional tariff till the validity of your plan expires.
